Diesel Cranford

Diesel “Big Show” Cranford August 9, 2013 - January 6, 2025 Diesel peacefully left his earthly body on Monday, January 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Diesel was born on August 9, 2013 in a shelter but quickly moved into the Cranford home on August 14, 2013 along with his Mom and littermates. There, the family stayed until loving homes were found for everyone in November of 2013. Diesel stayed with the Cranfords and blessed them with over 11 years of love, loyalty and protection. Diesel was a gentle giant. He was unaware of how big he actually was until he was in the presence of someone smaller than himself. Diesel’s heart belonged to his family, especially the children - Rachel, Carlee, Blake & Brent. He loved them with every ounce of who he was. He’d play with them, cuddle them, stay with them when they were sad or sick, and protect them. He took his job very seriously and would always step up when Todd had to travel. He would sleep at the top of the stairs to watch all the kids and he stayed with Susan and comforted her through some serious health issues. He’d walk slow when needed, he would lie at her feet when the day dictated it and he would celebrate and bark and wag his tail when days were good. Diesel loved all animals, not just those that lived in the home with him. His family fostered a lot and he always stepped up as the protector to the babies that came into his home. His family always joked that he thought he was the father of many kittens. Diesel was called back to the right hand of God at the young age of 11 but, the impact he left in those years will be permanently etched into the hearts of everyone who knew him. To have loved so fiercely and been loved so deeply in return was the greatest gift in Diesel’s life. Run free of pain, Diesel and wait for us.
