Cherry Blossom Valentine Orenday

Her name was Cherry Blossom Valentine, but I called her my baby bean. She was more than a dog, more than a pet she was my world! I found the sweetest little mutt in junior high during a fire drill September 17, 2013 and she came home with me after school! The plan was to re-home her, but ended up staying with me in my time of need. She was a street dog and became a spoiled little pup and she deserved nothing less! She had her sister Chikita (our family chihuahua) and Twix (our family Dachshun) by her side and loved to cuddle with both of them! Cherry loved to eat pecans from our tree and would crack them open just to get the insides, smart girl! She loved to sun in the grass and go to state parks to smell all the new smells! She loved to play with her sister Laika and brother Helios and always knew when to be gentle. She was well loved by the whole family and would make everyone smile no matter where she went! The thing she loved most was her momma, and I her. I don’t know how I got so lucky to spend almost 11 years with such an amazing creature but I wish I could have more. I’ll miss waking up to her and going on our morning walks and our state park picnics. I’ll miss your kisses and cuddles and the way you would talk to me when you wanted something. What I’ll miss most is sitting in silence with you, you were my comfort, my peace. Her last few days she had a blast in Seguin lying in the sun and being with family. Getting lots of love, kisses, pats, treats and booty scratches! Her last day was filled with relaxation in the sun and great meals! Ground beef and rice, chicken nuggets and a big medium rare ribeye! She got to experience Hershey chocolate kisses at the end and she loved them! She had a great life and lots of people who cared and loved her. How lucky am I to have experienced such love and pain. You were more than my best friend you were my everything. May you rest easy little one and come find me again when you come back, I’ll be waiting with pecans! We love you so so much little bean!
