Pepper Meise

Pepper Meise was born on April 15th, 2013, in San Jose, CA. She was the puppy that didn’t have to be part of the crowd, as a little pup, she distanced herself from her siblings who were drinking their mama’s milk to only explore her surroundings, even before she could walk. She was adopted by her daddy Joshua Meise, who learned that she was a smart girl and learned quickly. Pepper learned how to sit, laydown, and stay instead of running out of the door, she waited for her command from her daddy. She also, knew how to wait to eat, and protected her family from any danger and of course you can’t forget about giving daddy many kisses, asked or not. Pepper met her new mommy Jone’ when she was just 8yrs old in Dallas, TX, mommy feared of her at first but eventually they had a special bond. For example, when mommy came home from work, she would meet her at the front door as mommy is yelling “is that my Pep girl!” This caused excitement in Pepper, and she realized that she had her family. Pepper truly, loved mommy and daddy but daddy was her heart since she’s known him all her life. Her goal was to always protect him and that she did as she became military trained December 17th, 2015. Pepper took her job seriously of being supportive to her daddy and protecting mommy. Sadly, Pepper began developing lumps, first in her mammary glands but those were benign. Then a lump showed up in her snout which moved to her gums. Even after surgery, 3 weeks later, the lump came back aggressively and really took a lot of Pepper’s energy, so daddy and mommy made the decision to not allow her to suffer anymore. On Thursday January 22nd, 2026, Pepper took her last breath, but we know she did her job, she was daddy’s love and healer and mommy’s love and protection. Pepper we truly love and miss you but know you are better now running free. Even though our home feels empty without hearing her feet running on the floor and following daddy everywhere he goes, but the memories of her are still alive. There will be no other dog like Pepper, as she was not just a “dog” she was our daughter, always and forever.
